Niagara Falls Firefighter Paul Emmick is training this winter to participate in the World’s Strongest Firefighter contest, scheduled to be held between March 1st - 2nd.
With a 20-year background in power lifting and strongman training, Emmick has honed his strength, which is essential in his role at the fire department.
Becoming a firefighter two years ago allowed him to fulfill a personal aspiration of assisting those in need. This passion to make a difference was ignited following his brother's death from a drug overdose in 2015.
Contestants in the World's Strongest Firefighter event must demonstrate strength by lifting 250 pound kegs and sand bags above their heads.
Good luck, Paul!!
