Casino Cash Theft, Gambling Spree in Niagara Falls Leads Charges for Ontario Man

A resident of Mississauga, aged 26, is currently under police custody for reportedly stealing cash from a Greater Toronto Area casino, and then traveling to Niagara Falls for gambling purposes.

Casino Cash Theft in Niagara Falls Leads to Multiple Charges for Ontario Man

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) issued a news statement on Thursday, in which they explained that their investigative team responded to a peculiar transaction that occurred at an undisclosed Niagara Falls casino on January 19.


It is claimed by the police that the man, Gurvinder Singh, stole an unspecified amount of cash from a casino goer in the GTA before moving on to gamble at the Niagara Falls casino using the pilfered money. Singh faces charges which include laundering the proceeds of crime, theft amounting to more than $5,000, and possessing proceeds of property acquired unlawfully over $5,000. Singh is due to make his court appearance in a St. Catharines courtroom on March 4.
