Two women from Niagara County have been charged for their involvement in the January 6th, 2021, riots at the U.S. Capitol. Wendy Dominski and Traci Quimby, both residents of Youngstown, NY, appeared in Federal Court on Thursday facing multiple charges related to the incident.

The FBI stated in a criminal complaint that they received numerous tips from the public regarding the two women’s participation. The charges against them include:

-Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds

-Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds

-Disorderly conduct in the Capitol grounds or buildings

-Parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building

According to the complaint, law enforcement officials reviewed various forms of evidence including tips, videos, and social media posts that show Dominski and Quimby unlawfully entering the restricted Capitol grounds and building.

The FBI corroborated these claims by examining closed-circuit television footage from security cameras, body-worn camera footage from the Metropolitan Police Department and videos taken by journalists and other rioters during the event. The evidence shows both women entering the Capitol building through the Senate wing doors spending approx. five minutes in the Capitol before exiting through a broken window.

The complaint also highlights multiple Facebook posts allegedly made by Dominski discussing protests and claiming that the 2020 election was fraudulent. The complaint also highlights an exchange between a journalist and the women who asks them about their experience. Dominski reportedly responded, "We barged into OUR HOUSE. IT'S OUR HOUSE" and described their attempts to push through police lines.

Quimby added to the conversation, stating, "We pushed through because we told our grandchildren we're not letting this happen."
