Niagara County Woman Dead after Medical Emergency Causes Crash


A 68-year-old woman from Lockport lost her life on Friday when her vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree on the Tuscarora Reservation in Niagara County. The driver, identified as Susan Breloff, reportedly experienced a medical emergency that led to her car departing from Walmore Road, according to a news release from the Lewiston Police Department shared on Facebook.


A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was transported to Oishei Children’s Hospital by Lewiston Fire Company No. 2. The child suffering from minor injuries.



Emergency responders received a call at 11:36am regarding the accident on Walmore Road. Niagara County EMS and Lewiston firefighters attempted lifesaving measures on the unresponsive driver, but were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at the scene.



The Lewiston Police Accident Investigation Unit is actively looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
