Following an investigation by the New York State Police's Internet Crimes Against Children unit, a 46-year-old man from Lockport has been arrested on multiple charges including promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child. Nathaniel Devries was taken into custody on Thursday after a search warrant was executed at his residence on Beattie Avenue.
The investigation revealed that Devries allegedly possessed child pornography and was involved in disseminating it to others. In addition to the child pornography charges, authorities discovered that Devries was in possession of several firearms including a loaded Glock pistol, a Taurus revolver, and multiple loaded magazines containing between 15 to 30 rounds. Devries does not hold a state pistol permit.
He was transported to the Lockport Police Department for arraignment and faces a series of charges including (1) Promoting a sexual performance by a child, (2) Possessing a sexual performance by a child, (3) Criminal possession of a firearm (two counts), and (4) Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (five counts).
An investigation is ongoing.
