A heartwarming incident unfolded in lockport over the weekend when Lockport firefighters rescued a cat that had become trapped with its head stuck in a fence. The rescue took place on Park Lane Circle where firefighters from the Lockport Fire Department’s 4th platoon, assigned to Engine 7, responded to the call for help.
In a post shared on their Facebook page, the fire department detailed the rescue, stating:
"Today, firefighters from LFD’s 4th platoon raced to Park Lane Circle to save a furry friend in distress—a cat with its head stuck in a fence! With quick thinking and expert skills, they freed the cat in no time!"
The cat was successfully extricated from the fence and was transported to a veterinarian for evaluation. The feline is expected to make a speedy recovery.
