NFPD Respond to Shots Fired on Forest Ave; Over $2,500 in Property Damage

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2000 block of Forest Avenue around 0430 hours on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, after report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police observed a light-skinned male with a white tank top on hiding behind a gray Ford Escape. The male then showed his hands as he left from behind the vehicle. Police then spoke with one complainant who stated his house and car were just “shot up.” The complainant further stated he was sleeping in his back room when he was awoken by gun shots coming from the back of the house. Police then spoke with another complainant who stated he was upstairs when he heard the gunshots go off. The second complainant further stated that he saw a male who appeared to be wearing all dark clothing leaving the area on foot towards 22nd Street on Forest Avenue. Police then spoke to a third complainant who stated she heard the gunshots go off but did not see anything. The estimated value of the damage to the vehicle and the house is approximately $2,500.00. No further information is available at this time.
