Neighborhood Prowler Breaks Into Vehicle, Leaves Flip Phone Behind

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1500 block of 97th Street around 8:30pm on June 26th after reports of a neighborhood prowler.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who stated that an unknown individual tampered with contents inside his vehicle at 4:05am. He went out to his vehicle this morning and noticed someone had rummaged through it.

The complainant admitted that he had left his vehicle unlocked while it was parked in the street. Nothing was damaged or stolen out of the vehicle. The complainant then showed officers a green Motorola cellphone that was left behind by the suspect in the vehicle.

Officers then spoke with a nieghbor who was able to provide officers with camera footage capturing the incident. In the video, a white male wearing dark clothing is seen entering the passenger side of the vehicle. The male then proceeds to look in the vehicle for approx. one minute before eventually walking away towards Niagara Falls Boulevard.
