Multiple Police Agencies Respond to Burglary at One Niagara Building, Steals Pita Bread and More


Niagara Falls Police, NYS Park Police, and Niagara County Sheriffs responded to the One Niagara building on the 300 block of Rainbow Blvd. around 2:50am on September 26th after reports of a burglary in progress.


Upon arrival, dispatch advised that there was a male suspect on the first floor of the gift shop and building was closed. Dispatch also put out a description of the suspect being a black male wearing a grey hoodie.



Several patrol officers set up a perimeter on the outside of the building. Officers then observed a male on the inside running up the stairs from the first floor. It was at this time officers gained entry into the building and started to search for the suspect floor to floor.


Officers located the suspect on the 9th floor in the kitchen area at approx. 1:43am. The suspect was identified and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle. He was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing.



When apprehended, the suspect had several items on his person that he stole from businesses within the building. This included (1) Greek pita bread, (2) four pairs of socks, (3) JBL headphones, (4) sunglasses, (5) two hoodies and (6) an Android tablet. The total amount of stolen property is $400.
