Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-run Crash in Niagara Falls


Niagara Falls Police are currently investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle that occurred on Pine Avenue on Tuesday evening. The incident, which left the motorcyclist injured, took place near the intersection of 19th Street and Pine Avenue.


Officers responded to the scene at approximately 9:40pm on September 3rd following reports of the hit-and-run crash. The motorcyclist was found injured on the roadway. Niagara Falls Fire and an ambulance arrived shortly thereafter.



The injured individual was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment of multiple injuries. None are believed to be life-threatening.


Initially, the driver and vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene. However, a male later approached officers claiming to be the driver and stating that the car was parked down the street. He was detained for further questioning.



Officers located the vehicle parked on the 1000 block of 19th Street. The driver was ultimately released but received tickets related to the incident. Niagara Falls Police are actively working to gather more information about the hit-and-run crash and asking anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
