A youth football game in Buffalo was thrown into chaos after a Rochester man was struck by gunfire on Sunday, September 15th. Shortly after 11:30am, Buffalo Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire at the youth football game.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 31-year-old man who had sustained at least one bullet wound. The victim was immediately transported to ECMC by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Buffalo police recovered a firearm believed to be connected with the incident. Additionally, they have taken a suspect into custody. A motive is not clear at this time.
