Niagara Falls Police responded to the 800 block of Ashland Avenue around 1:00am on June 16th after initial reports of domestic violence which was later changed to disorderly conduct.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the parties on scene. One of the individuals, a male, continuously paced up and down the street yelling loudly and swearing. The male appeared to have a cut on his arm with a noticeable amount of blood (it was later discovered this was from breaking a window).
The male refused to answer questions about the events leading up to the arrival of law enforcement. He was told numerous times to calm down and to stop swearing – all of which he refused to do.
The male then became more irate to the point it was becoming a neighborhood spectacle. He was detained at this time and sat down on the curb. He agreed to calm down and return inside without incident. However, after officers removed his handcuffs the male began to yell and swear again.
The male's loud swearing performance earned him a standing ovation by police. The male was then taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was released with an appearance ticket.
