Man Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charges After Kissing 9-year-old Victim

A Lancaster man has pleaded guilty to a new child pornography charge after allegedly kissing a 9-year-old minor. The U.S. Attorney's Office made the announcement on Thursday revealing the disturbing details of the incident.

The accused, identified as 30-year-old Christopher Gostick, admitted to the receipt of child pornography following an incident that took place in 2023. According to officials, Gostick kissed the young victim on the lips during a sleepover birthday party held on June 9 and 10. The incident prompted immediate action from law enforcement.

Upon receiving reports of the incident, police officers swiftly responded to the residence and confiscated Gostick's tablet and cell phones. During the investigation, authorities made alarming discoveries on his devices. One of the cell phones contained a video of the victim using the bathroom while another cell phone revealed a Snapchat conversation between Gostick and a different victim.

In the conversation, Gostick allegedly posed as an 11-year-old and coerced the 10-year-old victim into sending him a sexually explicit video. Shockingly, officials uncovered approximately 613 images and two videos containing child pornography on Gostick's devices.

This is not the first time Gostick has faced legal consequences for his actions. In August 2019, he was convicted of attempted possession of a sexual performance by a child less than 16-years-old further highlighting his disturbing pattern of behavior.

As a result of his guilty plea, Gostick now faces severe penalties. He could be fined up to $250,000 and is subject to a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison with a maximum penalty of 40 years. The sentencing is scheduled to take place on October 4.

The U.S. Attorney's Office and law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all victims involved. They are urging anyone with additional information or potential victims to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
