Man Hospitalized After Overnight Shooting

In the early hours of Thursday, July 4th, a Buffalo man was rushed to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) following an overnight shooting on the 1400 block of East Delavan Avenue, east of Bailey Avenue. The incident occurred around 4am, prompting a swift response from the Buffalo Police Department.

According to a spokesperson for the Buffalo Police Department, the victim, a 31-year-old man, was shot while outside in the vicinity. The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Police were alerted to the scene and arrived promptly to secure the area and gather evidence.

In a race against time, the injured man was quickly transported to ECMC in a civilian vehicle. Upon arrival, he underwent immediate surgery to address his injuries. The medical staff at ECMC is working diligently to provide the necessary care and support for his recovery.
