A tragic shooting outside a bar in Jamestown has claimed the life of a Buffalo man according to the Jamestown Police Department. The incident occurred last Friday at the Wine Cellar, located at 309 North Main Street, in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to the scene just after 2:15am and discovered the victim, 25-year-old Corey M. Johnson, suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot behind the establishment. Johnson was immediately transported to UPMC Chautauqua and later transferred to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania. Sadly, he was pronounced dead on Sunday.
Authorities believe that the shooting was a targeted event and that the perpetrator was acquainted with the victim.
