The Erie County Sheriff's Office announced on June 27th that Town of Lancaster police detectives had identified a potential juvenile female who was being sex trafficked in a local motel.
In a coordinated undercover operation, law enforcement successfully arrested 21-year-old Andrell Montgomery, while ensuring the safe rescue of the 16-year-old juvenile female, who was promptly reunited with her family. Montgomery has been charged with sex trafficking a child and was arraigned in the Town of Lancaster Court. He has been remanded to the Erie County Holding Center on $10,000 cash bail.
The arrest of Montgomery highlights the critical importance of collaboration between agencies and community partners in combating and raising awareness about the victimization and devastating consequences of human trafficking.
