Male Who Wanted to 'Eat Fresh' Sets of Burglar Alarm at Subway


Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2600 block of Pine Avenue around 5:00am on July 7th after reports of a burglar alarm set off at Subway.



Upon arrival, officers established a perimeter around the building. While creating the perimeter, officers saw a male wearing a grey hoodie with an orange shirt on top jump over a fence on the 2400 block of Grand Avenue. Officers made pursuit but were unable to find the fleeing suspect.



Police spoke with the homeowner whose backyard the suspect went through. He saw the suspect run through his backyard was able to show officers surveillance video.



Afterward, officers were able to locate an orange pry bar and a flashlight that was most likely used to pry open the back door of Subway. The damage to the back door is estimated to be over $600. No further information is available.
