Niagara Falls Police responded to Pine Avenue around 7:00pm on July 3rd after reports of a that a male had interfered with a Fire Department truck as they were traveling down the street AND that he hit it out of frustration.
Upon arrival to the area, officers started checking for the male and spotted the male attempting to walk into a random house where he does not reside. While doing this, the male was yelling (loudly) profanities at no one.
The male saw officers’ patrol vehicle and began to walk across the street on Pine Avenue. While doing so, he was nearly struck by two oncoming cars which were traveling in opposite directions. The male impeded the flow of traffic to the point where one of the drivers yelled, “you’re going to jail now!”
The male was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. During the car ride, he would not stop talking about how he did drugs “all day long,” specifically meth, and how his family was “tied up in a basement at an NFTA stop.” He was booked and processed without any issues.
