Niagara Falls Police responded to the Niagara Falls Motel on the 8700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard around 10:00pm on Monday, April 15th after reports of a neighbor dispute which later became an assault on a police officer.
Prior to arriving, police were advised by dispatch that a male thew a coffee pot filled with coffee at a neighbor. After arriving at the scene police located the male wearing white pants, a white shirt and blue scarf. The male was yelling at the nieghbor.
Police advised the male to place his hands on the hood of his patrol vehicle and that he was being detained pending an investigation.
The male pushed off the vehicle and attempted to walk away stating, “you aren’t threatening me.” An officer then grabbed the male by the shirt and gave him multiple verbal commands to place his hands behind his back. The male did not comply with the officers request and use of force was utilized to subdue the male and place him in the patrol vehicle.
While attempting to detain the male, he did strike a police officer in the face with his left closed fist. The male was transported to police headquarters, processed, and placed in holding pending an arraignment.
