Males Spit, Punch Woman in the Face During Altercation in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls Police responded the 2400 block of North Avenue around 7:00pm on May 26th after reports of an altercation involving males spitting and punching women in the face.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated she had just been punched in the face by a black male. The complainant said she was in the backyard hanging out with her sister when a vehicle pulled up beside the house.

A young black male exited the vehicle and stated, “is the dude that does window tints here?” The complainant stated he was her son, but that he wasn’t home and to contact him on Facebook.

The male then became irate that her son wasn’t home and started walking towards her. The complainant told the male to get off her property, at which time an older male exited the same vehicle and walked over as well. Neither of the males listened to the complainant’s request for them to leave.

An argument over the son not being home escalated. The younger male began yelling and using obscenities. He then spit on the complainant’s sister.

The complainant then put the sister behind her and told both males again to get off her property. The older male then stepped toward the complainant and punched her square in the face with a closed fist.

Both males ran to the car and fled. The complainant noticed a large amount of blood dripping from her lip and called 911.

Police canvassed the area for the suspects and located them without incident. The older male admitted to punching the complainant and was taken into custody.

The complainant was taken to the hospital by ambulance for her injuries. No further information is available at this time.
