Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1000 block of Niagara Street around 1:30pm on September 10th after reports of a robbery.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated he was robbed of his bicycle at approx. 3:15pm the prior day. The complainant told police that he “found” a yellow Schwinn Beach Cruiser bicycle a couple weeks ago on Casino property “as if someone left it there.” He took the bicycle and has been using it ever since.
The complainant was riding it in the area of 19th Street when an unknown light-skinned Hispanic male yelled at him “that’s my bike.” He stopped the bicycle at which time the unknown Hispanic male and a black female approached him.
The Hispanic male pulled out a knife and started threatening the complainant. He wanted his bicycle back.
The complainant, not wanting to fight, let the Hispanic male take the bicycle. There are no known suspects. No further information is available at this time.
