Niagara Falls Police responded to the 8300 block of Buffalo Avenue around 12:30pm on July 22nd after a male 'loses his mind' after a sticker was placed on his vehicle.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who stated that he is the supervisor of maintenance at the apartment complex and the owner wanted a vehicle towed from the premises. The vehicle was not authorized to park there.
The complainant placed a parking sticker on the front windshield of the car for it to be towed or removed from the lot. The sticker made clear that if the vehicle wasn’t removed from the property within 24 hours a second sticker would be placed on the vehicle and sent to management so a tow could be requested.
On today’s date, the complainant was performing maintenance on the property and was in his work truck when a black male approached the vehicle. The male began arguing with him about the sticker being placed on his vehicle, became irate, and started to smash the front windshield with his hands.
The male, who at this point was raging and profusely sweating while swearing at the complainant, struck the driver-side rear door with a closed fist causing a dent. The estimated damage to his truck is at least $250.
The complainant wished to pursue charges. The male was handcuffed and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. He was issued an appearance ticket and released. No further information is available.
