Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1500 block of Pierce Avenue around 4:00pm on June 25th after reports of a male, under the influence of narcotics, laying in the street with drugs, a knife and metal knuckles.
Upon arrival, police spoke the male and asked him if he was alright.
Officers observed the male’s left forearm to be broken and asked what happened, but he seemed nervous to speak with law enforcement.
Officers asked for identification and he opened his fanny pack to grab it. While the pack was open officers observed metal knuckles in plain view and asked to hand the bag to him. The male was asked whether he had anything else illegal in the bag at which time he said no and gave permission for officers to search it.
While searching the bag officers discovered a blue and black sunglasses container that had what appeared to be a glass meth pipe and two yellow bags with one appearing to have a crystal-like substance in it. A NFPD detective was called to the scene and took possession of the drugs.
AMR was contacted for the male's injury and he was issued an appearance ticket for the metal knuckles and suspected narcotics. The male also had a large fixed blade knife that police seized as well.
