Male Forces Way Out of 7-Eleven with Stolen Items, Apprehended After Choosing Bad Hiding Spot


Niagara Falls Police responded to 7-Eleven on the 2600 block of Hyde Park Boulevard around 9am on July 17th after reports of a robbery.



Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated an unknown black male came into the store and started placing items in his pants. The unknown male was younger in age with short dreadlocks.



The employee observed surveillance cameras and continued to see the male placing more items in his pants and began to pass all points of purchase without rendering payment. The employee attempted to lock the doors before the male could exit with the stolen items but was unsuccessful.



The male pushed the employee to the side causing sudden pain and scratches to her arms and forearms. He then fled the store and the employee called 911.



Officers reviewed the camera footage and positively identified the suspect. Shortly after putting out a BOLO the male was apprehended in a nearby alleyway enjoying the fruits of his efforts. He was transported back to 7-Eleven for positive identification as the suspect.



The male was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. No further information is available - Male Forces Way Out of 7-Eleven with Stolen Items, Apprehended After Choosing Bad Hiding Spot.
