Niagara Falls Police responded to Walgreens on the 1200 block of Pine Avenue after reports of a potential male shoplifter who has been trespassed from the store before because he was mean to employees (and stealing).
Prior to arrival, dispatch advised responding officers that a black male had just left the store with a plastic bag containing possible stolen merchandise. Officers were able to locate the male in the parking lot. He approached officers in an aggressive and threatening manner at which point he was placed in handcuffs and detained in the patrol vehicle. Dispatch then advised officers that the male had two outstanding warrants out of the City of Niagara Falls.
Walgreens staff told police that the male frequents this location and is irate, mean and acts inappropriately each time. In fact, the male was previously trespassed from the store in May of 2023, yet he continues to violate it. The store employee stated that they wish to press charges against the male on behalf of Walgreens for violating the trespass notice.
