License Plates Stolen Overnight in Niagara Falls


Multiple Incidents of Stolen License Plates Across Niagara Falls in One Night

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 100 block of 73rd Street around 9:30am on September 5th after reports of a larceny.


Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated that an unknown person stole the license plates off of her 2018 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle was parked in the driveway overnight when it occurred.



The complainant stated that there was no damage to the vehicle and nothing was stolen from inside. She stated there is no reason she can think of why someone would want her license plates.


Later that day police received a walk-in complaint around 2:15pm of another license plate theft. According to the complainant, an unknown person stole the license plates from her 2011 Cadillac.

 


She stated the vehicle was parked in her driveway overnight and when she returned to her vehicle they were gone. There is no other damage and nothing was stolen from inside her vehicle.


There are no suspects at this time in either case. There was no surveillance footage of either incident. No further information is available at this time.
