Josh Allen to Reach NFL Milestone in 100th Game as Bills Face Jets on Monday Night Football

Josh Allen to Reach NFL Milestone in 100th Game as Bills Face Jets on Monday Night Football

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is set to make history as he approaches two career milestones during the team's Monday Night Football matchup against the New York Jets. The game will mark Allen's 100th appearance in the NFL since being drafted by the Bills as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

In his first 99 games, Allen established himself as one of the league's premier signal callers by completing 2,068 of 3,276 passes for a total of 23,648 yards, 175 touchdowns, and 78 interceptions. A strong performance against the Jets could further solidify his place in NFL history.

If Allen throws three touchdown passes during the game, he will tie Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford for the fifth-most touchdown passes (178) in a player's first 100 NFL games. Only Patrick Mahomes (225), Dan Marino (217), Aaron Rodgers (203), and Brett Favre (187) have thrown more touchdowns in that span.

Allen also has the chance to make history in the rushing game. If he gains just seven yards on the ground, he will surpass Cam Newton's record of 3,777 rushing yards for the fourth-most rushing yards by a quarterback in their first 100 games. The all-time leader in this category is fellow 2018 draftee Lamar Jackson, who has amassed 5,621 rushing yards, followed by Michael Vick (4,752) and Randall Cunningham (4,096).

As the Bills prepare for their crucial AFC East clash, all eyes will be on Allen as he aims to further etch his name in the NFL record books.
