Josh Allen Poised to Make History as Bills Face Colts in Week 10

Josh Allen Poised to Make History as Bills Face Colts in Week 10

As the Buffalo Bills prepare to take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10, all eyes are on QB Josh Allen who stands on the brink of making franchise history. Currently leading a struggling (putting it nicely) AFC East division with a 7-2 record, the Bills have managed to maintain their competitive edge despite an offseason of unloading veteran players such as Stefon Diggs.

Allen, a dynamic dual-threat quarterback, has been the driving force behind the team's success. His ability to both pass and run has been crucial. It's Allen's unique skill set that unlocks the potential of their entire offense.

Against the Colts, Allen has the opportunity to etch his name further into franchise record books. With just 27 rushing yards, he can surpass former running back Travis Henry and move into fifth place on the Bills' all-time rushing leaders list. Allen currently sits at 3,849 rushing yards.

In addition to his rushing achievements, Allen is also closing in on another significant record. He is just four touchdown away (total) from surpassing Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly for the most touchdowns in Bills history. Allen sits at 241 while Kelly is at 244.

Allen also has the chance to tie, or even surpass, O.J. Simpson for second place in rushing touchdowns for the Bills. Currently sitting at 56 rushing touchdowns in his career, a touchdown run against the Colts would bring him even with Simpson at 57. If Allen is able to rush for two touchdowns, he would sit alone in second place only behind Thurman Thomas who has 65.
