While on routine patrol along Hyde Park Boulevard around 11am on December 6th, Niagara Falls Police observed Jedidiah Aikins in the middle of the road obstructing traffic causing a hazard for vehicles driving. Aikins is quite popular among local law enforcement agencies for his dozens of arrests.
Before being placed in handcuffs, Aikins was advised to get out of the street. Aikins did get out of the street but then proceeded to walk back into the street and stand in the middle of the road. While searching him, officers found suspected narcotics which were collected and placed in evidence bags.
Aikins was placed in handcuffs and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. He was released with an appearance ticket. No further information is available at this time.
