An investigation is underway following a collision between a Buffalo Police cruiser and a pickup truck on the city's East Side. The incident occurred around 3:45am at the intersection of Bailey Avenue and Erskine Avenue, just south of the 33, on Sunday, July 14th.
According to a spokesperson for the Buffalo Police Department, the focus of the investigation is whether the driver of the pickup truck experienced a medical issue at the time of the crash. The collision between the police vehicle and the pickup truck has raised concerns about the circumstances leading up to the incident. Both drivers involved in the collision were immediately transported to Erie County Medical Center for medical treatment.
Fortunately, the injuries sustained by both individuals were reported to be non-life-threatening. The collision occurred at a time when roads are typically less congested. However, the impact of the crash has prompted authorities to launch a thorough investigation to determine the cause and any contributing factors. As the investigation progresses, the Buffalo Police Department will work diligently to gather all necessary evidence and statements from witnesses.
