An inmate at Attica Correctional Facility has been sentenced to an additional 15-year prison sentence for attempting to rape an employee at the facility, according to the Wyoming County District Attorney's Office.

Emmanuel Jenkins, 38, was convicted of first-degree attempted rape, first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon in June. Jenkins was already serving a sentence of 15 years to life in prison for three counts of predatory sexual assault, two counts of third-degree aggravated sexual abuse, and three counts of third-degree rape.

The recent conviction and sentencing will result in his new 15-year sentence being served consecutively to his existing sentence. In addition to the extended prison term, Jenkins will also be subject to 25 years of post-release supervision. This means that even after his release from prison, he will be closely monitored and required to adhere to certain conditions.

The case highlights the severity of Jenkins' crimes and the commitment of the Wyoming County District Attorney's Office to ensuring justice is served. The attempted rape of an employee within the correctional facility is a serious offense that warrants significant punishment.

The Attica Correctional Facility is a maximum-security prison located in Wyoming County, New York. It houses inmates who have been convicted of various crimes and are serving lengthy sentences.
