Niagara Falls Police responded to the Quality Inn hotel on Niagara Falls Boulevard on Tuesday April 9th after reports that a guest was punched in the face.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who stated he was standing in the hotel lobby when he was attacked for no reason by another male. Specifically, the complainant stated that the male was sitting in the lobby on a couch, got up and started striking him several times in the face with a closed fist. The male also punched another party once.
Police viewed surveillance footage which corroborated the account given by the complainant. The suspect would not cooperate with law enforcement and lied about his name. Before admitting his real name, the suspect said he was on probation and did not want to get arrested because he had warrants out of New York City.
The suspect was given an appearance ticket returnable in Niagara Falls City Court. No further information is available.
