Homeless Man Smashes Head Repeatedly on Glass Door After Kicked out of Bar

Niagara Falls Police responded to the American Legion on the 700 block of East Market Street around midnight on September 14th after a silent alarm was triggered.

Upon arrival, police observed the entrance glass door to have a spiderweb crack in it. Officers spoke to the bartender who stated that while bartending she observed a homeless-looking white male enter the bar. The male was “rambling on and making incoherent statements."

He was asked to leave and did exit the building. However, he then turned around and started to headbutt the front glass door repeatedly causing it to shatter. The estimated damage to the door is $1,000.

The bartender said that the suspect departed and laid down nearby. Officers were able to quickly locate and identify him. He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. No further information is available at this time.
