Hailee Steinfeld is stepping into a new role that goes beyond her successful career in music and film. On February 12th, the multitalented actress and singer announced her latest venture: a line of canned cocktails called Angel Margarita set to be available online starting March 3rd.
“I have always been intrigued by this ready-to-drink space,” Steinfeld shared with PEOPLE magazine. “I never thought I would be part of something so unique and special, especially with such an incredible team.” She likened the experience of sharing her drinks with the world to her previous creative projects, noting the anticipation of others experiencing something she has worked hard on. “It’s like when you're working on a film or making a song; you’ve done it a million times, but then it hits you that others will hear or see it. In this case, they will taste it.”
The Angel Margarita line features four refreshing flavors: Lime, Grapefruit Paloma, Ranch Water, and Wild Berry, which is currently Steinfeld’s favorite. Each drink combines sparkling water, agave syrup, natural flavors, and 100% agave tequila, all sourced and manufactured in Jalisco, Mexico. The development of these flavors was a collaborative effort with Premium Beers Group’s Jordi Zindel and Rodrigo Hernandez, involving taste tests that were as much about the atmosphere as the flavors.
The brand name, Angel Margarita, is inspired by the Angel of Independence in Mexico City, with the iconic golden monument featured on the cans. Steinfeld emphasizes the brand's values of authenticity, quality, and celebration, stating, “It's about being together and celebrating life and all that it has to offer
For Steinfeld, these cocktails are perfect for entertaining friends or enjoying a cozy night in with her fiancé, Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen.
“I take it right out of the fridge, pour it over ice with a garnish, and it’s the most perfect margarita,” she said. Cooking together is one of their favorite activities, and she finds joy in pairing the experience with a great cocktail. “I’m a really good sous chef,” she laughed, adding that she loves to watch Allen work his culinary magic.
"I can assist very well. There really isn't anything he's not great at. So, he can cook, and I love to just sit back and watch the magic happen and assist when and where I can — but it changes often!”
