While Taylor Swift has made headlines with her high-profile appearances at NFL games, fellow A-list star Hailee Steinfeld has taken a different approach in supporting boyfriend Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. The actress has chosen a more discreet way to show her support, opting for a low-key presence at games rather than stealing the limelight like Swift.
Unlike Swift who is regularly featured on NFL broadcasts cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce, Steinfeld has rarely been seen at games. However, that doesn't mean she's not there.
In her latest Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld revealed that she attends most home games at Highmark Stadium and away games across the NFL. In fact, she attended nearly every game during the 2023 NFL season. Donned in Bills apparel, she was spotted during an away game in Los Angeles taking selfies in the crowd.
In her newsletter, Steinfeld expressed her excitement for football season and the opportunity to watch her favorite person, Josh Allen (aka 17), continue to make NFL history. She also mentioned the upcoming drastic temperature drops and jokingly referred to herself as a "California girl" who will be bundled up in vintage Bills gear while sipping hot chocolate soon (who can't relate to this?!).
The Hollywood star also took time to showcase her love for Buffalo by sporting vintage team merchandise from Queen City Vintage, a local store where she finds her favorite game-day outfits. In explaining her love for the store and co-owners Nick, Kai and Mike, she talked about her own love of thrifting.
"I’m fascinated by the process because vintage shopping is a hobby of mine," said Steinfeld. "At home, I’m constantly scrolling eBay looking at archival runway pieces, and whenever I’m in a new city I find a vintage store to poke around in. Some people seek out the local coffee shop; I don’t drink coffee so I find the nearest vintage store. It’s a comfort thing."
Steinfeld expressed her excitement of having a front-row seat to watch her own 'beau' (Josh Allen), the team as a whole, and energy of the stadium. She also expressed her love for Bills Mafia, describing them as "second to none."
While Steinfeld's support for Allen may not be as public as Swift's, her discreetness does not mean she lacks enthusiasm. The heartfelt words in her newsletter show an unwavering support for Josh Allen, the Bills, and Bills Mafia. As the season progresses, fans look forward to seeing Steinfeld cheering on the Bills, bundled up in her vintage threads and enjoying her cup of hot chocolate.
