Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1100 block of LaSalle Avenue around 12:30pm on September 20th after reports of a larceny from a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated that her 2012 grey Jeep Patriot was broken into overnight. She stated her granddaughter went outside this morning around 10:15am to grab her daily calendar, but when she approached the vehicle she noticed both sunroofs to be down. This was "extremely unusual."
The granddaughter then approached the passenger-side door and noticed it was cracked open. The inside of the vehicle was in complete disarray with papers and documents spread throughout the entire vehicle.
In total, the complainant’s insurance card, registration, air fresheners, and loose change were all missing from the vehicle. The estimated cost of all property taken is $100.
The complainant does have cameras at her home, but they were not charged to capture the incident. She is going to check in with neighbors to see if their cameras captured anything.
There are no known suspects. No further information is available at this time.
