Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2900 block of Porter Road around 8:30pm on August 23rd after reports of a home invasion, which is the fourth reported incident in two weeks.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainants, a husband and wife, who stated their vehicles were rummaged through and items were stolen from inside their residence while they were asleep. The incident occurred between 3:15am and 6:00am earlier that day.
The wife stated that three Kindles (valued at $100 each), one VR headset (valued at $200), and a Samsung phone (valued at $1,100) was taken from inside her vehicle. The husband stated that he was downstairs asleep on the couch and found items were missing from inside their home after his wife woke him up. His Samsung phone (valued at $1,100), along with his PlayStation 5 and two controllers (valued at $600) were missing from.
Officers did not observe any signs of forced entry nor did the Ring video doorbell catch any motion. This does not, however, mean that a crime did not take place. There are no known suspects. No further information is available at this time.
This comes on the heels of three other home invasion reports over the past two weeks in Niagara Falls. The links to each report can be found below:
