Four individuals have been arrested following an incident involving an alleged kidnapping and gang assault that took place on Virginia Street last week on October 2nd. The arrests and violent details were announced on Monday by Buffalo Police.
The suspects, identified as 20-year-old Raymone Wilson, 22-year-old Savannah Brosius, 25-year-old Daquel Braxton, and 26-year-old Jeremiah Martin, all residents of Buffalo, are accused of tying a 21-year-old male victim to a chair in an apartment located on the 500 block of Virginia Street. Reports indicate that the victim was subjected to severe physical abuse including having his head shaved, being doused with bleach and boiling water, and being struck multiple times with a belt.
In addition to the physical injuries which included burns, welts, lacerations, and bruising, the suspects allegedly stole the victim’s phones, backpack, and wallet. The situation came to law enforcement's attention when the victim's family was contacted for ransom.
The four suspects now face multiple charges including first-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault, second-degree gang assault, and second-degree robbery. Wilson has also been charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance as he allegedly had crack cocaine on him at the time of his arrest.
Police are actively searching for additional suspects connected to the incident. Further charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues. Anyone with information related to the kidnapping or assault is asked to come forward.
