Former Sabre and Lewiston resident, Rick Dudley, is bringing the Stanley Cup to Lewiston on Tuesday. Dudley, who is currently a senior advisor for the Florida Panthers, will be sharing the coveted trophy with the community.
This comes after the Panthers secured their first-ever title in June by defeating the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup finals. On Tuesday, July 22nd, between 5pm and 9pm, fans will have the opportunity to see and take pictures with the Stanley Cup at Griffon Gastropub in Lewiston.
Dudley played for the Sabres from 1972-1975 / 1978-1981 and later served as the team's head coach from 1989-1991. He is excited to bring the cup to his hometown.
He currently resides in Lewiston and considers it a truly remarkable, beautiful place.
