Niagara Falls Police were patrolling on Niagara Street around 4:30pm on June 3rd when a vehicle stopped and stated there was a fight in the middle of 19th and Niagara.
Officers attempted to get to the area but could not due to a backup of vehicles stopped along Niagara Street due to the fight. Upon arrival, officers did not observe a fight but did see multiple parties starting to disperse as they approached.
Police made contact with multiple parties who stated that a female was beating another woman with a wooden stick. Officers did observe a large broken stick on the ground.
Witnesses said the woman that was beat up had a "big lump" on her forehead. However, she appeared to no longer be on scene and no one knew where she lived.
Officers then asked the female suspect what had happened, at which point she became irate and walked away into to the middle of the road, impeding traffic.
Officers placed the female under arrested. She was transported to police headquarters and released on an appearance ticket. No further information is available.
