Female Driver Falls Asleep Several Times in Same Alleyway, Parks Vehicle on Sidewalk

Niagara Falls Police responded to the area near Players Bar on Niagara Street around 6pm on October 9th after requests for a welfare check.

Officers were dispatched to a nearby alley on 3rd Street for a red vehicle where a male on a bike observed the driver falling asleep numerous times while driving.

Upon arrival, officers observed a red Alfa Romero attempting to turn left on 4th Street. Officers requested the female driver turn off the vehicle, at which point they observed her on a phone and without a seatbelt. The vehicle was parked on the sidewalk.

It was confirmed that the female had a suspended license with 5 scoffs on three different dates. Officers requested a tow for the vehicle. The female was issued numerous vehicle and traffic tickets which she crumpled up and threw them into the vehicle prior to it being taken away.

It was not reported whether or not the female driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No further information is available at this time.
