Employee Falls Asleep in Break Room, Awakes to Phone and Credit Cards Stolen

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1100 block of Pierce Avenue around 4:00pm on June 24th after reports that an employee had credit cards and his phone stolen after falling asleep in the break room.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated he was working in Niagara Falls on today’s date and took his scheduled break at 10:45am. Once in the break room, he closed his eyes and fell asleep. When he woke up at 11:15am, the complainant discovered his phone and credit cards missing.

The complainant does not recall if the belongings were in his pocket or not. The value of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is estimated at $1,000.
