Niagara Falls Police were on routine patrol around 2am on August 15th when officers received a crash notification from State Farm. The vehicle was reported to be a 2015 Honda Civic.

Upon arrival at 7-Eleven on the 6800 block of Buffalo Avenue, officers observed the vehicle parked out front with a single male driver. The engine was running.

Officers knocked on the window to get his attention and, when the male rolled it down, a heavy odor of alcoholic beverage began to emanate from the interior of the vehicle. Incoherent, the male kept telling officers that he was “making phone calls” and couldn’t talk right now.

Officers instructed the male to step out from the vehicle. He had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, in addition to swaying when he stood.

The male became extremely argumentative and accused a responding officer of being “a di*k” to him a few nights before. “To my knowledge, I have never had contact with [the male] before in my life,” said the officer in his official incident report.

Officers asked the male several times if he wished to perform standard field sobriety tests and he refused. He was placed into handcuffs and led to the back of a patrol vehicle.

A search of the male’s vehicle revealed 9 empty, shooters, 11 full shooters and a Mini Unicorn Lookah which is used to smoke THC. All evidence was secured for processing.

There was no crash located. However, the left front wheel cover to the vehicle was located on the sidewalk about 25 feet away. It appeared to police that the male might have struck the curb with his vehicle.

The male was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. According to the police report, his “non-sensical manor of speech continued” throughout. He was released on an appearance ticket. No further information is available at this time – Drunk Male Drives to 7-Eleven for a Snack, Vehicle Search Revealed 20 Shooters and Mini Unicorn.
