Drugged Out Female Leads Police on Chase through Downtown Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop around 3:45am on January 10th after observing a vehicle traveling at an excessively slow rate of speed causing other vehicles to pass it.

The vehicle would not pull over at which time officers advised dispatch that the vehicle was fleeing from them. Another police vehicle joined the pursuit. Shortly thereafter, multiple police vehicles attempted to box in the vehicle. The driver then put the vehicle in reverse and struck a patrol vehicle and drove off.

Officers nearby then attempted to spike the vehicle near Seneca One Stop. However, the vehicle did not travel in that direction.

The vehicle was attempting to lose officers weaving in and out of streets along Ferry Avenue. Ultimately, the vehicle pulled into Horizon Health Services along Pine Avenue where it was boxed in. Despite this, the vehicle attempted to escape striking another vehicle. Multiple officers removed the black female driver by force. She was then placed in the rear of a patrol vehicle.

During the chase, officers observed her to drive through stop signs, travel the wrong way down one-way streets, drive though red lights, drive on sidewalks, fail to use her signals while turning, and crashing into a police vehicle twice.

The vehicle was towed and the female transported to police headquarters for booking and processing. No further information is available at this time.
