Niagara Falls Police were on routine patrol around 12pm on July 18th when officers observed a vehicle with no front license plate and no NYS Inspection sticker on the windshield. The vehicle was turning from Niagara Falls Boulevard into the Home Depot parking lot when officers initiated a traffic stop.
The driver/sole occupant of the vehicle reported that he was “in the process of getting his vehicle inspected.” In fact, he told police numerous times “the dealer told me to do. . . .” Officers found four violations/issues with the vehicle: (1) the vehicle had switched plates, (2) no NYS registration as it was suspended, (3) no insurance, and (4) no NYS inspection.
A tow was requested and the vehicle was seized. The driver was issued several tickets from the incident. The license plate, which belonged to a different individual, was taken as well.
