(Niagara Falls, ON) A Thorold woman has been charged following a tragic collision in Niagara Falls that resulted in the death of a woman who was being towed in a wagon behind a bicycle. The incident occurred on September 3rd and resulted in an investigation by the Niagara Regional Police collision reconstruction unit.
According to police, a black 2010 Acura ZDX driven by the suspect collided with a bicycle operated by a 30-year-old man from Niagara Falls. The cyclist was seriously injured in the crash, while a 36-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the wagon attached to the bike, succumbed to her injuries.
On November 18th, authorities announced that they had charged the 43-year-old driver with careless driving causing death and careless driving causing bodily harm.
