Drama Unfolds at Motel After 'Girlfriend' is Locked Out of Room, Breaks Glass

Niagara Falls Police responded to Shiva's Travelers Lodge on the 5900 block of Buffalo Avenue around 9:30pm on July 22nd after reports of a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and "girlfriend" that resulted in a broken window.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the owner who directed officers to a motel room. The owner told police that a female, who was only visiting and not a guest of the motel, was visiting her alleged boyfriend. While working, the owner overheard loud yelling and the next thing he heard was glass shattering.

Once at the room, officers observed a white female pacing back and forth with blood coming from her hand. The female stated she was "arguing with her boyfriend" when she stepped outside to get some air. The woman stated the door to the motel room was locked when she tried to get back in, so she began to knock as hard as she could to get her boyfriend’s attention. She said the window was hit by mistake.

The owner advised police that he wished to pursue criminal charges against the woman for damaging the window, estimated at $500. Officers attempted to speak to the male, but he was uncooperative. The woman was placed under arrest and told police, “it was an accident, I said I would pay for it.”

There was no corroborating evidence that the female was, in fact, the male's girlfriend. Based on the woman's behavior, coupled with the male's evasive behavior with law enforcement, she was likely a 'lady of the night.'

She was transported to police headquarters for booking, processing and was released with an appearance ticket. No further information is available - Drama Unfolds at Motel After 'Girlfriend' is Locked Out of Room, Breaks Glass.
