Niagara Falls Police responded to the 600 block of 10th Street after reports of an argument. Upon arrival, officers were met by the female victim and another female who were sitting in a black SUV. The victim told police that the female had stolen $1,300 from her.
The victim explained to officers that she was going to lend the money to the female for a downpayment on a house until an argument began. The female pinned the victim down, punched her in the face and stole the money from her pocket. The victim stated she wanted to press charges.
The female refused officers’ orders and failed to unlock the door. After getting a door open, officers used force to place her under arrest. She was pepper sprayed but denied medical attention.
The female eventually told officers they could check her purse for the money. The $1,300 was located and returned to the victim.
At that time, the victim stated she no longer wished to press charges. Officers asked if the two women were in a romantic relationship. Both women denied the assertion, which was likely a lie.
The female was transported to police headquarters for booking and processing, charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. She was released with an appearance ticket. No further information is available at this time.
