Donny Osmond Brings Award-Winning Vegas Show to Niagara Falls USA

Donny Osmond, the legendary entertainer, is set to bring his award-winning Las Vegas show to Niagara Falls, USA as part of his "Direct From Las Vegas" tour. The tour, which began on June 7th, will make a stop at the Seneca Niagara Event Center on July 13th. Ahead of the show, Osmond spoke about the tour, his career, and his excitement about returning to Western New York.

Osmond, who was recently honored with the title of '2024 Best Headliner' by the Best of Vegas Awards, expressed his desire to bring his show on tour to reach as many people as possible. He acknowledged that not everyone can make it to Las Vegas, and he wanted to give fans the opportunity to experience his show. Osmond emphasized that he has brought the entire show on the road, ensuring that audiences get the full Las Vegas experience.

Reflecting on his extensive career, Osmond shared his excitement about finding new ways to present his past accomplishments. He mentioned his upcoming role in the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," where he will be performing as the Pharaoh on a U.K. tour. Osmond described his current tour as a repackaging of everything he has done over six decades, presented in a fresh and exciting way within a two-hour show.

One of the highlights of Osmond's show is "The Request Segment," where he dedicates 30 minutes to fulfilling audience song requests from any of his 65 albums. Unlike his Las Vegas performances, which are limited to 90 minutes due to contract stipulations, the tour allows him to include more songs and expand the request segment. Additionally, Osmond pays tribute to the Osmond Brothers and Andy Williams during the show.

Beyond his music career, Osmond has ventured into various other entertainment fields, including TV, film, hosting, and dancing. He fondly recalled some of his favorite moments, such as being the first Masked Singer, playing Captain Shang in the Disney movie "Mulan," winning "Dancing With the Stars," and his time on the "Donny & Marie" show.

Osmond described his show as "so Americana," combining nostalgia with a contemporary touch. He noted the diverse range of audience members, with fans from the "Puppy Love" era being the majority, but also seeing an influx of teenagers and young children who are fans of his recent work, such as his role as Captain Shang and his appearance on "The Masked Singer."

The availability of streaming services like Spotify and platforms like YouTube has made it easier for younger generations to discover new music, according to Osmond. He shared a heartwarming story of a 10-year-old girl who requested a song from his latest album during a Las Vegas show. Impressed by her knowledge and enthusiasm, Osmond invited her onstage to sing the song with him.

When asked about his favorite song, Osmond found it difficult to choose, considering his extensive career and multiple genres. However, he mentioned that he always includes "Puppy Love" as the second song in his setlist, as it holds a special place in the hearts of his fans from a certain generation.

During his time in the Niagara Falls area, Osmond expressed his love for visiting Maple Leaf Fudge at Niagara-on-the-Lake, calling it his favorite place to get fudge. Additionally, Osmond has been actively involved with the charitable organization City of Hope, which focuses on research and treatment for diabetes and cancer. For this tour, $1 from each ticket sale is being donated to the organization, and Osmond expressed his commitment to supporting their mission.
