Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2800 block of Macklem Avenue around 5:30pm on Sunday, April 14th after reports of a neighbor dispute about dog poop.
Upon arrival, law enforcement spoke to the complainant who stated she has been having ongoing issues with a neighbor regarding dog poop. Specifically, the neighbor alleged several times that the complainant was not picking up poop from her dog that was on his property. Today, she went outside and observed poop on the porch of her house, front door, and on her ring video doorbell camera. Officers did observe poop on the house.
The complainant stated she went to the neighbor’s home and confronted him. After asking him whether or not he threw dog poop at her home, he responded, “call the cops then.”
Officers then made contact with the neighbor who stated he has seen the complainant’s son not pick up dog poop from his lawn and a few days prior had gone over to speak to the son's father. The neighbor then said he saw dog poop on his lawn a few days later. He grabbed it and threw it on their lawn. When asked by police if he knew it had hit the complainant’s home, he stated ,“I didn’t think it went that far.”
The neighbor was placed into custody and transported to police headquarters for processing and released with an appearance ticket.
